Decision No. 235/2002/QD-NHNN dated March 27, 2002 of the State Bank on the termination of the issuance of payment notes

DECISION

ON THE TERMINATION OF THE ISSUANCE OF PAYMENT NOTES

THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

- Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH10 dated 12 December, 1997;

- Pursuant to the Decree No. 64/2001/ND-CP dated 20 September, 2001 of the Government on the payment activities through payment service suppliers.

- Pursuant to the Decree No. 15 CP dated 02 March, 1993 of the Government on the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the ministries and ministry-level agencies;

- Pursuant to the directive of the Prime Minister in the Official Dispatch No. 1091/CP-KTTH dated 29 November, 2001 of the Government on the termination of the issuance of payment notes;

- Upon the proposal of the Director of the Monetary Policy Department,

DECIDES

Article 1.The State Bank shall not issue payment notes from 01 April, 2002.

Payment notes which are issued prior to the date of 01 April, 2002 shall be used in accordance with current provisions of the State Bank on payment notes.

Article 2.This Decision shall be effective from 01 April, 2002.

Article 3.Head of the Administration Department, Director of the Monetary Policy Department, Director of the Issuing and Vault Department, Director of the Accounting and Finance Department, Heads of units of the State Bank, General Managers of State Bank branches in provinces, cities under central Government management, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Directors (Directors) of credit institutions, the General Director of the State Treasury shall be responsible for the implementation of this Decision.
