Decision No. 22/2006/QD-BTM dated June 06, 2006 of the Ministry of Trade amending and supplementing Decision No. 07/2006/QD-BTM dated January 26, 2006 of the Minister of Trade on the importation according to the tariff quotas on goods originated from Laos with the import tax rate of 0%

DECISION

AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING DECISION NO. 07/2006/QD-BTM DATED JANUARY 26, 2006 OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE ON THE IMPORTATION ACCORDING TO THE TARIFF QUOTAS ON GOODS ORIGINATED FROM LAOS WITH THE IMPORT TAX RATE OF 0%

THE MINISTER OF TRADE

Pursuant to the Agreement between the Ministry of Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of Trade of the People Democratic Republic of Laos on items subject to Vietnam-Laos preferential import tax rates signed on July 28, 2005;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 29/2004/ND-CP dated January 16, 2004 on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;

Pursuant to Diplomatic Note No. 0449/TM-NgT dated April 19, 2006 of the Ministry of Trade of the People Democratic Republic of Laos;

At the proposal of the Director of the Import-Export Department,

DECIDES:

Article 1.

To amend Article 3 of Decision No. 07/2006/QD-BTM dated January 26, 2006 of the Minister of Trade on the importation according to the tariff quotas on goods originated from Laos with the import tax rates of 0% as follows:

"Article 3. Traders having the certificate of business registration shall enjoy the import tax rate in the tariff quotas of 0% when importing rice, tobacco leaves and stems and motorbike spare parts originated from Laos. Only enterprises getting the announcement on import plan for tobacco materials in 2006 from the Ministry of Industry can import tobacco leaves and stems"

Article 2.

To annul Appendix II – the List of enterprises appointed by the Ministry of Trade of Laos to export items according to the tariff quotas to Vietnam in 2006 promulgated together with Decision No. 07/2006/QD-BTM dated January 26, 2006 of the Minister of Trade.

Article 3.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in  CONG BAO and is effective till December 31, 2006.
