DECISION

ON THE AMENDMENT OF SOME PROVISIONS OF THE REGULATION ON THE EXCHANGE OF THE EXPIRED PAYMENT NOTES ISSUED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DECISION NO. 324/1999/QD-NHNN6 DATED 15 SEPTEMBER, 1999

THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to the Law on the State Bank of Vietnam No. 01/1997/QH110 dated 12 December, 1997;
Pursuant to the Decree of the Government No. 15-CP dated 02 March, 1993 on the assignment, authority and responsibility for the State management of the ministries and ministry-level agencies;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 91-CP dated 25 November, 1993 of the Government on the organization of the non-cash payment;
Upon proposal by the Director of the Issuing and Vault Department,

DECIDES

Article 1.

To amend, supplement some provisions of " the Regulation on the exchange of the expired payment notes " issued in conjunction with the Decision No. 324/1999/QD-NHNN6 dated 15 September, 1999 of the Governor of the State Bank as follows:

1. Article 3 is amended as follows:

"Article 3. Within 10 days from the expiry date of the payment notes, Credit institutions and State Treasury are permitted to deliver to the Banking Operation Department and the State Bank branches in provinces and in cities where they open accounts, the payment notes kept in vault as of the end of the expiry date and the payment notes received under the Article 2 of this Regulation without any fee (data must be reflected in units' accounting books and reported to the State Bank where units open the main transaction account).

2. Article 5 is amended as follows:

"Article 5. For payment notes which have expired for a period of less than one year:

The Banking Operation Department of the State Bank of Vietnam, State Bank branches in provinces and cities shall be responsible for the receipt, verification and exchange without any further procedure of application if the payment notes are determined to satisfy exchange requirements".

3. Article 6 is amended as follows:

"Article 6. For payment notes which have expired for a period of more than one year:
