Import of material tobacco under the tariff quota
Circular No. 55/2018/TT-BCT dated December 26, 2018 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on prescribing the import of material tobacco under the 2019 tariff quota.
The volume of material tobacco (HS code 2401) to be imported under the 2019 tariff quota is 56,284 tons.
This Circular takes effect from February 19, 2019, through December 31, 2019.

CIRCULAR
Prescribing the import of material tobacco under the 2019 tariff quota[1]
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 98/2017/ND-CP of August 18, 2017, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management;
At the proposal of the Director of the Agency of Foreign Trade,
The Minister of Industry and Trade promulgates the Circular prescribing the import of material tobacco under the 2019 tariff quota.
Article 1. Import quota volume in 2019
The volume of material tobacco (HS code 2401) to be imported under the 2019 tariff quota is 56,284 tons.
Article 2. Subjects eligible for and methods of import quota allocation
The allocation of material tobacco import quota must comply with the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT of June 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, and the Government’s Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP of May 15, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
Article 3. Effect
This Circular takes effect from February 19, 2019, through December 31, 2019.-
