ANNULLING AUTOMATIC IMPORT LICENSES TO SOME STEEL PRODUCTS
On June 16, 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued the Circular No. 17/2014/TT-BCT on annulling the Circular No. 23/2012/TT-BCT dated August 07, 2012 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the application of automatic import licenses to some steel products.
Accordingly, from June 16, 2014 to stop issuing automatic import licenses to some steel products such as Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, cold-rolled (cold-reduced), not clad, plated or coated; Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, clad, plated or coated; Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of less than 600 mm, not clad, plated or coated; Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of less than 600 mm, clad, plated or coated; Bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of iron or non-alloy steel; Other bars and rods of iron or non-alloy steel, not further worked than forged, hot-rolled, hot-drawn or hot-extracted, but including those twisted after rolling. Other tubes, pipes and hollow profiles (for example, open seam or welded, riveted or similarly closed), of iron or steel. Businessmen import some steel products to make the custom procedures with current regulations.
