MENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ARTICLE 1 OF THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY’S DECISION NO. 05/2005/QD- BKHCN OF MAY 11, 2005, AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING DECISION NO. 28/2004/QD-BKHCN OF OCTOBER 1, 2004, ON METHODS OF DETERMINING LOCALIZATION RATES OF AUTOMOBILES

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 28/2008/ND-CP of March 14, 2008, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology;

Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 175/2002/QD-TTg of December 3, 2002, approving the strategy on development of Vietnam’s automobile industry through 2010, with a vision towards 2020;

Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 177/2004/QD-TTg of October 5, 2004, approving the master plan on development of Vietnam’s automobile industry through 2010, with a vision towards 2020;

At the proposal of the general director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality,

The Minister of Science and Technology issues this Circular to amend and supplement Article 1 of the Minister of Science and Technology’s Decision No. 05/2005/QD-BKHCN of May 11, 2005, amending and supplementing Decision No. 28/2004/QD-BKHCN of October 1, 2004, on methods of determining localization rates of automobiles.

Article 1. To amend and supplement Article 1 of the Minister of Science and Technology’s Decision No. 05/2005/QD-BKHCN of May 11, 2005, amending and supplementing Decision No. 28/2004/QD-BKHCN of October 1, 2004, on methods of determining localization rates of automobiles

To amend and supplement Article 1 of the Minister of Science and Technology’s Decision No. 05/2005/QD-BKHCN of May 11, 2005, amending and supplementing Decision No. 28/2004/QD-BKHCN of October 1, 2004, on methods of determining localization rates of automobiles, as follows:

“Article 1. To amend and supplement Clause 4, Article 5 of the Minister of Science and Technology’s Decision No. 28/2004/QD-BKHCN of October 1, 2004, on methods of determining localization rates of automobiles, as follows:

4. Automobile parts directly imported or purchased from commercial importers by enterprises shall not be regarded as localized ones.
