Summary

From 2026, rolling stocks with expired useful life may not operate

This is a remarkable content specified in the Decree No. 01/2022/ND-CP dated January 4, 2022 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 65/2018/ND-CP of May 12, 2018, detailing a number of articles of the Railway Law.

Accordingly, rolling stocks whose useful life expires before December 31, 2018, may operate through December 31, 2023. Rolling stocks whose useful life expires between January 1, 2019, and before December 31, 2019, may operate through December 31, 2024. Such useful life is prolonged by 3 years in comparison with recent regulations.

Besides, rolling stocks whose useful life expires or will expire between January 1, 2020, and before December 31, 2025, may operate through December 31, 2025. Rolling stocks whose useful life will expire on or after January 1, 2026, may not operate after their useful life expires.

This Decree takes effect on the date of its signing.
